About Natural Soap

Many people have never used natural handmade soap. In fact, most people have never used soap. Look at the commercial soap products sold in stores, it's likely that you won't find the term "soap" on the packaging. Commercial soap sold commercially is often made with chemical cleaners, hardeners, and synthetic foaming agents. Some of these ingredients can dry out or irritate the skin. On the other hand, handmade soap, which is made from oils, liquids and alkalis, does not contain these harsh ingredients and is considered "soap". The ingredients of some commercial soap bars on the market make it impossible to be labeled and advertised as soap.

Handmade soap also contains glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant that draws moisture from the air onto the skin. It is created naturally during the soap making process. It's one of the things that makes handmade soap so amazing! Some commercial soaps remove the glycerin from the soap and sell it to make lotions and creams. Without glycerin, commercially produced soap is not nearly as skin-friendly and can make the skin dry. Cold or hot process soap is made with skin-friendly oils such as coconut oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, almond oil, castor oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, etc. This combination of oils makes each bar of soap absolutely unique. The great thing about making and using handmade soap is that you can customize it to feel exactly the way you like it.

Homemade soap is made from lye, but once the lye and oils emulsify and combine, the saponification process begins, and this process turns the lye and oil into soap that is gentle on your skin and moisturizing. In the finished soap, no lye comes into contact with your skin because there is no more lye in the soap – it's soap now! All real soap is made with lye, even clear melting and pouring soap (commonly referred to as "glycerin soap").

In addition to choosing soap oils for your skin, you can further customize your handmade soap with scrubs, fragrance, color, and more. This is especially important if you prefer to use only natural ingredients. Handmade soap can be perfumed with essential oils from plants and colored with natural dyes. You won't find these high-quality ingredients in your bar of store-bought soap. Soap is a beautiful way to express yourself, your personality and your values. It is an art form that can be used for daily use or given as a gift. Natural soap making has changed the lives of so many people. Using handmade soap elevates your senses through the use of essential oils, cheers you up with its beautiful colors, and the end result is moisturized skin.
